We are happy to offer the Maryland Wear and Carry Permit Renewal training with highly qualified instructors that have more range time, competition experience, and longevity in the community than you run into. At Red Hill Tactical, we have been providing classes that meet the needs of our students for over 10 years. We use current instructional trends to ensure that our classes utilize the best technology in order to allow our students to achieve mastery that is unheard of. By utilizing a team of well accomplished instructors that have achieved high ratings of Master or Grand Master in USPSA and NRA pistol shooting, we are able to provide insights to your shooting that will help you progress. In the 16 hours we spend together, you will improve in your confidence to hit a target under pressure. This class qualifies you for Multi-State Concealed Carry permits as well the states and processes will be covered step by step during the classroom instruction.
With our years of experience, we are able to explain de-escalation techniques that work in many high stress environments. All of our instructors are top tier in their main career field and many hold FEMA certifications to demonstrate their need to maintain continuous improvement. The Maryland State police require an 8 hour certification we will provide this on the range as part of our second day of our 2 day class.
You Are also welcome to attend Day 1 of our wear and carry class as a free refresher of our original fundamentals.
Day 1, Saturday, will be at the shop. Class will be from 7am to 3pm to address the classroom instruction portion of the course. We will provide direct instruction and access to our laser simulation range in order to ensure you are confident in the ability to operate your firearm proficiently for concealed carry.
Day 2, Sunday, will be at a outdoor range in Clear Brook, VA. We will work from 9am to 5pm and complete training as well as the shooting assessment. Clear Brook is the first exit in VA on US 81S about 41 miles from our shop.

Day 2: Firearm (I suggest something you shoot comfortably), Ammunition (250 rounds minimum), a holster to safely carry the firearm, hearing protection, eye protection, sunscreen, and food. For food, we recommend something that you can snack on throughout the day. Eating a large meal if it is hot will not be good.
We will be packing a cooler full of water for the range to stay hydrated. We will have targets there for you to use.
If you need a holster, ammunition, hearing protection, eye protection, etc. Please call the shop immediately so we can work on securing those items. We do have guns listed that you can rent that will include 300 rounds of ammunition. In addition, you may purchase a firearm from us and you can use that firearm for the range day of the class. Once you have your HQL we can complete the transfer of the pistol to you.
The instructor is Steve Moneypenny. He has 20+ years of concealed carry experience, is a USPSA Grand Master shooter and a IDPA Master Shooter. Steve has been a NRA certified instructor for 20 years.
