10 Meter Air Pistol is one of the great Olympic Sports that became meme worthy this summer. Between the 51 year old Yusuf Dikec winning Bronze in the team event, and Kim Yeji with her amazing swagger, this has been a time to reflect on this great sport. Now is the time to learn, indoors at Red Hill Tactical. This will be a time to learn how to shoot air pistol and start to enjoy a sport that is know the world over. The best part about learning air pistol now, is it teaches you how to become a better shooter in the long term with all firearms and without the noise.
In this clinic for beginners of ALL Ages, we will start with the basics of how to use an air pistol including, loading, trigger control, sight alignment, breathing, and stance in order to learn how to become a proficient target shooter. We will provide a beginner level target air pistol, pellets and of course the targets inside our climate controlled shop. Each 1 hour session will feature a mini clinic, then target practice, finalizing with critique and feedback for the next steps to do better.
These sessions will be limited to 4 people per session in order to allow you to see individual improvement and critical feedback. The best part, at the end of the 6 week session, you get to keep your air pistol in order to continue to refine your skills at home, or to continue further into our sessions at either intermediate, or advanced level. Additionally as we continue this progression, we will begin to offer competition nights to test your skills against others.
First Session will be on Monday September 23 at 5:30 PM after our shop closes. The following dates of 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, and 10/28 which will include a final mini match. Other sessions will be added based on when sessions and dates fill.
